A full-time, permanent position is available for a qualified special and inclusive education teacher to join our Learning Support team in the Secondary School from the beginning of Term 1, 2025. Applicants interested in a part-time (0.8 FTE) role are also encouraged to apply and to clearly indicate this in their application.

Our team of academic support teachers work with students who have a diverse range of learning needs. They support students in classrooms, work with small groups on targeted interventions, and work in one-on-one situations to support curriculum access and develop specific academic and cognitive skills. They form collaborative partnerships with academic and wellbeing staff across the school in the development and implementation of appropriate adjustments, individual learning plans and learning resources.

The successful candidate for this role will be a suitably qualified and experienced teacher who has specialist training and expertise working with neurodivergent learners, students with ADHD or ASD and other individual learning needs and disabilities. They will have excellent organisational skills together with the interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working flexibly, independently and in collaborative partnership with teams of teachers is also essential for this role. A strong knowledge of teaching and learning processes, study skills, organisational skills and evidence of delivering effective targeted interventions are all desirable. The successful candidate will also becommitted to the full life of the school and support of its Christian ethos.
