About the Role
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Provide training, guidance and support to the Academic Administrative team.
- Work closely with Heads of School and Course Coordinators to provide Academic Administration support.
- Coordinate and lead the academic administration team as they:
- Serve as the first point of contact and provide administrative advice and support to staff and students across all Schools with academic administration.
-Maintain up-to-date schedule of units offered and ensure all documents are up to date including course unit outlines, curriculum documents, zoom links, assessments, learning resources, and rubrics on the Excelsia LMS at the commencement of Semester.
-Monitor the progress of classes and student attendance to ensure classes are running smoothly.
-Schedule and coordinate documents for the student grade moderation process.
-Coordinate exam invigilation and associated administration.
Selection Criteria
- Possession of a degree level qualification in business, administration, or customer service (or an equivalent combination of relevant experience/training).
- Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
- Administration and project management skills.
- Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated capacity to train and supervise other employees.
- Demonstrated capacity to interpret and relate existing policy to work situations and engage in policy development.
- Demonstrated capacity to draw on applicable bodies of knowledge to solve problems and implement solutions.
- Proven ability to provide senior administrative support to projects or function areas.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes and meet deadlines.
- Must have acute attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Technological literacy in a wide range of desktop applications to support reporting and analysis role requirements.
- Experience with a learning management system, particularly Moodle is strongly preferred.
- Must uphold ethical integrity while performing duties of a sensitive nature including calculating student grades, and maintaining confidentiality of personal details.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work appropriately with students, faculty, and administrators, independently as well as in a busy team environment.
