About the Role:

PLC Sydney is seeking a dedicated Boarding Resident to join our team.




As a Boarding Resident, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging home away from home for our boarders.




Your responsibilities will include:



  • Supporting senior staff in running the routines of the house.

  • Helping students with their academic tasks and fostering a positive learning environment.

  • Working with senior staff to ensure the well-being of our boarders

  • Organising and running engaging & positive activities on weekends


What we offer:



  • Work two Fridays per term, plus additional shifts as needed

  • Assist with boarding duties on two weekends per term + additional as required

  • Meals provided on shift during term-time

The ideal candidate will:



  • demonstrate excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.

  • possess a positive outlook

  • have a passion for engaging with young people and fostering a positive atmosphere.

  • have a genuine desire to engage with the boarders to make their daily lives better

  • take instruction well & demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • have prior experience with youth - not required but highly beneficial

  • have an understanding of residential education - not required but highly beneficial
