About BaptistCare Shalom Centre


The home is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and a caring community. The courtyard café serves fresh, tasty meals and barista-fresh coffee, giving a cosmopolitan flair to the lifestyle here.


Shalom Centre aged care home offers quality care in a shared-accommodation setting that is accessible to everyone. All rooms are fitted with en-suite bathrooms and feature large windows that bring in plenty of natural light and overlook tranquil gardens.


About the role
As the Lifestyle/Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence.

In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are considered.

About you
The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve. This role will service all three sites located at Macquarie Park.

A relevant qualification such as Cert IV in Leisure & Health is essential, or be currently working towards.

Previous experience in an aged care setting along with understanding of work health and safety practices is highly desirable. Previous experience working with patients suffering dementia will be highly regarded.


Flexible working days but availability must fall within Monday - Friday, 10am to 6pm.


Must be comfortable using a computer.
