About the Role
Anglicare is seeking a Care Worker - Team Leader to join our Seniors Living team in Woolooware Shores. You will be leading a team of Care Workers and Domestic Assistants (Home Care Workers) to effectively delivery outstanding home care services to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures Home Care Workers deliver outstanding, person-centred care to residents in accordance with Rhythm of Life principles by leading the team and providing direct care to residents where required
  • Ensures a culture of exceptional customer service is actively developed and the Home Care Workers effectively deliver outstanding customer service during all interactions with residents within the village, along with all team members focusing on what is important to residents and their carers
  • Contribute to the daily management of all scheduled services to ensure they are covered by the team and that staff absences (both planned and unplanned) are managed
  • Contributes to achieving KPI’s in staff utilisation by working with the case management team and support team to fill gaps in home care worker rosters
  • Ensures Home Care Workers are redirected to assist around the village if they have gaps in their roster
  • Ensures the escalation of resident changes and concerns in a timely manner to the relevant and appropriate team including assisting with consistency of Home Care Workers and unplanned leave coverage
  • Ensures good working relationships are developed and maintained with key stakeholder internally and externally, ensuring that all queries are followed up and completed
  • Provide home care services to residents during times of short falls on the home care roster
About you:
  • Cert III or higher in Aged Care/Community Services or equivalent.
  • Knowledge, understanding, previous experience in community based aged care services including direct care work.
  • Previous team leader experience gained in a busy environment.
  • Experience in systems and technology applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships and demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Ability to use technology
  • Intermediate reading and writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions
