Use your communication and content creation skills to support the Christian Media & Arts Community in this flexible, part-time role.


The Opportunity:


We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic content creator to fill a position being vacated by a beloved team member, who is leaving to pursue full time study.


Hours: Flexible between 20 and 30 hours per week. (equivalent of 3 to 4 days per week
Location: Flexible - work from home or our office in Sydney
Salary Guide: $30+ per hour plus superannuation - Commensurate with experience.
Starting: January 2025


About You:


You're a follower of Jesus with a passion for sharing the gospel message through written and digital media formats. You have proven skills in working with websites, creating post articles, and creating graphic and video content for social media. You're self motivated with a keen eye for detail, can easily accomplish tasks without supervision, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Essential Skills and Experience:



  • Higher School Certificate or Equivalent

  • Experience with Administration of Wordpress Websites

  • Graphic Design Experience and ability to use Canva Pro or other relevant graphic design software

  • Familiarity and experience with Social Media - primarily Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and YouTube

  • Software experience with various office computer packages e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

  • Experience with Google’s suite of Docs, Mail and other tools

  • Experience with Mailchimp and/or similar programs

  • High level communication skills including excellent writing and language skills

  • Strong organisational/ time management skills

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines and prioritise work

  • Well presented, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to others

  • A proactive hands-on approach with the ability to apply knowledge in a practical and commercial manner

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects

  • Ability to work across multiple software and platforms

  • Ability to work flexible hours

  • Innovative, enthusiastic, self-motivated, with a curious and positive attitude

  • Commitment to the values and mission of CMAA


Desirable Skills and Experience:



  • Tertiary Diploma / Degree in Communications, Marketing or similar, and/or Digital Content / Video Production

  • Experience with video editing and production

  • Experience gained in a membership organisation


About The Role:


Reporting to the Member Connections and Communications Manager, your regular tasks will involve:



  • drafting web articles in WordPress from sourced written content and royalty free images

  • creating still graphic, and video content for social media accounts - with a focus on Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and YouTube

  • editing long form video content

  • creating promotional video content

  • writing articles for the CMAA website (utilising Ghost)


The role also involves occasional domestic travel involving overnight stays, and possible overseas travel as required. A current driver's license and personal vehicle, along with a current passport is advisable.
