Grace City Church
Location: Waterloo, NSW
Date advertised: 14th October 2024
Job Type: Temporary/Contract
Closing Date: 1st November 2024

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this role is to champion the cause of Membership within the life of Grace City, that we might see more and more people connecting into a warm and loving community and growing as active members of Christ’s church.

Connection - Maintain and oversee systems and processes that enable Grace City to move people from our crowd (from first time guests to regular attenders) to our community (formal members of Grace City Church). This includes overseeing the follow up of all newcomers as well as planning and attending monthly Onboard afternoons to help integrate new members into church life.

Community - Maintain the necessary structures that seek to facilitate the building of a Christian community that is warm, caring and sticky amongst Grace City members. Work with the broader Staff Team to consider how love and fellowship can be championed at special events and within midweek Community Groups.

Care - Oversee and maintain the necessary structures to help the members of Grace City care for and support those in need within our community.

Team Leadership - Train, equip and lead teams of volunteers to effectively execute the membership ministry at our three Sunday gatherings in Waterloo. Provide guidance and support to the membership rep at Rockdale, as they seek to oversee the membership ministry at that campus.

EXPECTATIONS

A person of deep Christian character who exudes warmth, demonstrates a genuine love for people, and has a heart for discipleship.

A strong commitment to Reformed Evangelical theology and a deep understanding of the gospel.

Clear and enthusiastic alignment with the vision, mission, and values of Grace City Church, with a desire to contribute to its growth and health.

Highly organised, with the ability to effectively oversee and manage systems, ensuring smooth and efficient ministry operations.

Ministry experience and theological education are desirable but not essential, with a willingness to grow and develop in both areas.

To apply, please submit your cover letter and resume via email to applications@gracecity.com.au.
