Are you a strategic leader passionate about transforming mental health services and driving impactful growth? Anglicare is looking for an experienced Head of Mental Health Services to lead, innovate, and grow our mental health programs, ensuring we deliver the best possible outcomes for diverse communities across Sydney.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead & Innovate: Oversee the design and delivery of Anglicare’s mental health services, focusing on quality, client outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Growth: Develop and implement business strategies to expand our mental health services, secure funding, and foster innovation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with government, healthcare providers, community organisations, and churches to promote and grow our services.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, support, and develop a talented team of program managers and clinicians, ensuring a positive culture of collaboration and care.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven leadership in mental health services, with both clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Strong strategic planning and financial management experience.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management and developing innovative service models.
  • Passion for fostering inclusive mental health programs that cater to diverse populations, including First Nations people, CALD communities, and those at critical life transitions.

Education and Experience
  • Relevant university qualifications e.g. social work, psychology.
  • Previous management experience in adoptions and foster care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation as used in the Out of Home Care sector.
  • Current practice knowledge in training and assessment of foster carers and adoptive parents, and assessment of children and young people in need of OOHC, restoration practice. Understanding of trauma informed models of intervention.
  • Experience in support and supervision of foster carers and children in placement with them.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
