Reporting to the IT Transformation Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects within the ‘Technology’ stream of Seniors’ Living Lighthouse Model from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.
This role involves a hands-on approach to developing and managing detailed project plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and mitigating risks to deliver projects on time and within budget. The IT Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including operational, project and support staff, ensuring clear communication, resource efficiency, and adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. This is a maximum term fulltime position for 12 months.
Note: Current job location is Norwest. We are relocating to Macquarie Park in 2025.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
  • Ensure that integration solutions capture all business requirements, using best practice technology, software, and programming languages, and ensure efficient data extraction, manipulation, processing, and analysis.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters, ensuring clear communication of project objectives, expectations, and timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, marketing, sales, customer service, operations) to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, monitoring and addressing any project issues or obstacles promptly.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources, while adhering to prescribed finance policies and procedures for any variations.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews, providing regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Key Skills and Competencies needed:
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to coordinate different teams and departments on projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve project objectives.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to find practical approaches to solving business problems.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, with a focus on similar IT projects in a fast-pace and dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and integration and their impact on business processes.
  • Experience in change management and driving user adoption of new systems.
  • Strong experience in end-to-end system implementation including data migration, testing, training, reporting and integration.
