We are currently seeking a Lifestyle Carer to join our dedicated team at Dudley Foord House, The Ponds on Permanent parttime basis. Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will assist with the design and implementation of individual and integrated programs based on the residentโ€™s needs.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic people person with an interest/talent in the arts, cooking or music.
Key responsibilities
  • Contribute to the residentsโ€™ assessments including their life history that will form an integrated care plan;
  • Ensure effective communication using the appropriate tools to the wider village team to ensure that the resident preferences and social needs are met;
  • Contribute to enriching the lives of individuals and their families through leisure, lifestyle and spiritual activities;
  • Assist and encourage residents to create a home like environment within their accommodation so that they can relate to their new environment personally;
Skills, knowledge and experience needed
Essential
  • Experience in conducting lifestyle activities
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or willingness to obtain
  • Good Computer skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication
The ideal candidate will have an interest in music, craft or have a creative flair or talent.
A Covid-19 vaccination is strongly recommended.
To be successful in this role you must have: NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
