About the Role
The position provides Pastoral Care Services to patients, families, significant others and staff of the Mater Hospital, Sydney.

The candidate must have

  • Qualifications in Pastoral Care - Clinical Pastoral Education 1 unit (CPE1) is mandatory. Experience in chaplaincy, counselling, psychology, health or theology is preferable.

  • Understanding of Clinical Pastoral issues and employment experience in a health care or other complex setting.

  • Understanding of Catholic tradition and the sacraments of the Catholic Church

  • Understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and Mission identity of the Mater Hospital and St Vincent's Health Australia

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
     

The position will work within the framework of the Mission, Vision, Values and Philosophy of St Vincent’s Health Australia. The position will maintain personal and professional standards in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Pastoral Care in Health Care Settings and the Code of Conduct of SVHA.
