We value:

Excellence with Passion

A Collaborative, Holistic Approach

Authentic Presence, Genuine Care

Learn, Share, Grow

Evidence-Driven Innovation

Courageous Ownership

As a practice we have a niche focus on eating and feeding disorders, with multidisciplinary services running through The Talbot Centre for Eating Behaviour. We have excellent facilities setup to support this work with a purpose planned kitchen and dining area as well as ongoing internal training and support to continue to develop skills in working with this population. We work within a neurodiverse affirming and fat positive philosophy of care.

We also have other niche interests in obsessive compulsive and related disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and complex presentations, child & family services and working with clients with a Christian faith. Our team members also have their own individual interests and niche focuses. We have strong partnerships within our local community and a strong focus on education and learning for professionals and community members.

We are located less than 2 mins walk from the Sydney Metro train line, making us easily accessible from Epping, Ryde and Chatswood.

We strongly value our team and have a dedicated leadership and management structure including a clinical team lead and a people and culture coordinator who work closely with all staff members to support them in achieving their personal and work goals.

Our Director, Dr Amy Talbot was awarded the inaugural Australian Psychologist of the Year in 2018 and more recently the 2020-2021 award for Excellence in Allied Health Leadership and Management.

The Roles

As we can no longer consistently meet the demand for our services and aim to keep wait times as short as possible for our patients, we are looking to add an additional psychologist to our team. The structure of possible roles is outlined below.

Subcontractor (1-2 days per week): These positions are suitable for psychologists or clinical psychologists who are looking for 1 or 2 days work to supplement other current opportunities for their business or to psychologists who would like to do some private work in addition to a public health role or other responsibilities. There are opportunities to participate in supervision and team activities if desired.

Employed Roles (3-5 days per week): These positions are suitable for psychologists or clinical psychologists who are looking to be an integrated part of a team environment and who would like variety in their work tasks including face to face clinical work, as well as project work, opportunities to run workshops and provide community education etc.

We also have opportunities for new graduate psychologists from the clinical masters degree to join our Graduate Program (Full time, employed) and for Senior Clinical Psychologists (3-5 days per week employed) looking for opportunities to take the next step in their career and move into leadership positions. Unfortunately we are not able to take on provisionally registered psychologists for this role.

We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about working with patients and families with eating and feeding disorders (or our other areas of interest). Prior experience working with these populations is desirable, however, if you have a strong interest to learn about providing services for this population we can provide all necessary training in house. There are also opportunities to work with a broader client group in addition to eating disorders should this be desirable.

Commencement is flexible dependent on your availability.

Please forward your Resume and Cover Letter to Dr Amy Talbot via the join our team section of our website and ensure you indicate what type of role arrangement you are looking for.

We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
