About the Role

The role of Student Services Coordinator manages high quality student administration to ensure consistent, effective, and efficient customer focused delivery.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Works with the Assistant Registrar in all aspects of student administration including processing enrolment for domestic and international students.
  • Serves as first point of contact for students to provide administrative advice and support to them during their studies with relation to student and academic administration.
  • Provides assistance to students and staff in the understanding of course progression, moderation of grades and finalising and distributing student results, and reporting and analysis of data accuracy and integrity.
  • Generates and distributes information to students and staff relevant to their studies or administrative needs.
  • Assists with planning and executing student events, such as orientation and graduation.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, applicants must address the selection criteria below and attach their response as a separate document in the application process.

Education and Professional Standing:

  • Possession of a degree or equivalent qualifications in education or business administration/customer service.
  • Subsequent experience (1 - 3 years) working in academic administration and/or student services.
  • Working experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.

Essential:

  • Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
  • Ability to provide advice and decisions relating to organisational policies and procedures.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to multi-task prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Acute attention to detail and high level of accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Higher Education Standards and data reporting is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of an IT learning platform (such as Moodle) and database (such as Paradigm) is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work appropriately with students, faculty, and administrators, independently as well as in a busy team environment.
  • Must uphold ethical integrity while performing duties of a sensitive nature including calculating student grades, and maintaining confidentiality of personal details.
  • Technological literacy and a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and confidence in presentations.
