Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) Teacher

Are you a passionate TAS teacher looking for your next position? Tradewind are working with a vibrant K-12 independent co-educational Christian school in the Northern Beaches of Sydney who are seeking an enthusiastic Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) teacher to join their team. The ability to teach Design and Technology or Food Technology is essential.

Join this well-respected school in a full-time, ongoing position starting as soon as practicable. Candidates on temporary visas are also welcome to apply.

Demonstrated Experience and Skills

• qualifications and suitable experience to teach Design and Technology or Food Technology
• demonstrated strategies to cater for a variety of learners
• desire to work as part of the TAS department and wider school team
• flexibility to respond to a dynamic learning environment
• evidence of a relational approach to colleagues, students, and parents
• effective organisation and ability to fulfil administrative and assessment requirements of a teaching role
• excellent communication skills
• ability to achieve strong academic results
• a strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the Christian development of students

Prerequisites:

• Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
• Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
• Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
• Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references
