ABOUT US
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here β providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
Eastern Beaches Salvos provide a variety of services to people living in the Eastern Beaches communities of Sydney. The Corps distributes food parcels with food supplied by Oz Harvest, offers weekly community breakfast and community lunch, provides material aid food parcels and acts as center through which clients can collect assistance from the Doorways program. Doorways and Pathways caseworkers provide programs and casework through the center. There is a weekly community table (faith gathering) where people share fellowship.
Receptionists are key in the smooth running of our programs providing relief for Corps Officers so they can focus their attention towards our community members. The role is primarily a front line reception role that brings a variety of administration activities such as data entry, filing, preparing of spreadsheets, responding to calls and emails, as well as assistance with volunteer onboarding and record keeping. This role is ideal for someone who loves order, systems and quality improvement, as well as supporting a team to achieve great outcomes for the community.
