About the Role
Our Accounts Payable team is seeking to appoint a highly meticulous, motivated and results driven person for a 12-month contract, full time position based either at Melbourne or Sydney.

Location is flexible to successful applicant.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Operations Team Leader, you will be responsible for accounts payable processing and associated tasks in a timely and accurate manner and to provide expert advice and customer service to the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely processing of invoices: Input invoices into the financial system ensuring the coding provided has been entered correctly and due dates for payment are correct and they comply with current requirements.
  • Customer service: Attend to enquiries raised by our customers both internally and externally in a timely manner.
  • Verification of claims: Verify and ensure that the expenses claimed by Employees or Officers comply with policy and has not been previously processed in the financial system.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations: Perform Supplier statement reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure all invoices issued by the Supplier have been entered into the system.
  • Data entry: Ensure all invoices received have been entered into the financial system by the end of the month so that financial transactions are recorded in the correct period.
  • Payment processing: Undertake EFT and Bpay payment runs as required.

About You
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with demonstrated experience in high volume and payment run processing.

Key Capabilities:

  • Solid understanding of accounts payable principles
  • High level of speed, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
