The Chaplaincy team is responsible for the Christian ministry in the School community, serving the students, staff, parents, alumni and the wider Trinity community through preaching, praying, teaching, and providing theological insight and pastoral support.

Working in close collaboration with, and under the direction of the School Chaplain, this role will guide and support each student to engage fully in the spiritual life of the School. This ministry is primarily exercised through Chapel services, the Christian Studies classroom, and various formal and informal contexts in the life of the School. This ministry is aligned with and supportive of the School’s mission, ethos and strategic direction.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished and thoughtful communicator, adept at engaging students with the Christian gospel, focusing particularly on the students but also on the staff, parents, alumni and extended Trinity community. This role is a full-time permanent appointment encompassing both the ministry and through teaching of the School’s Christian Studies curriculum.The School has a strong focus on professional learning and will provide the required development for an outstanding practitioner.

The position offers an attractive salary between $111,098 - $133,748 depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant.

Successful candidates will have….

Essential Criteria

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check(required prior to commencement)
  • Valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate

Desirable Criteria

  • Formal teaching qualifications
  • Current registration with NESA (including recent experience teaching in a classroom)
