Your Opportunity

Missionbeat provides rapid response crisis intervention, on-street support, welfare assistance, case management and post housing support to rough sleepers.

The caseworker role will focus on supporting women in building strong relationships and connections with other services to find safe accommodation.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessment, develop and implement individualized case plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services such as housing, counselling and other programs
  • Advocate for clients with external agencies and services ensuring they receive appropriate support
  • Provide outreach case management support to clients to achieve self-sufficiency and independence through referrals and resources
  • Undertake general supervision to support the needs of the program and contribute to effective functioning and development of the service
  • Develop sustainable relationships with clients and key stakeholders for improved service delivery

Requirements for Success

  • Degree or Diploma in Social work/community services preferrable
  • Experience working with Women and understanding of homelessness and other issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver single stream training programs under the direction of senior employee
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management with high level communication skill
  • An understanding of combined lived experience
