About us

Here at the Sydney Anglican Offices, we are committed to supporting the building of God’s Kingdom through the provision of a range of valued services to organisations and churches in the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney.

This role is part of the Office Services team within Sydney Anglican Services, which supports the Sydney Anglican Offices by ensuring the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of our offices by managing the day-to-day logistical, administrative, and support functions that keep an office running effectively.

About the role

In this role, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient delivery of office services, supporting key areas including main reception, the Diocesan Hub (breakout areas), and meeting rooms. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reception support – providing relief at the front desk by answering phone calls, welcoming guests, and responding to reception enquiries.
  • Administrative assistance – provide general administrative support, such as photocopying, scanning and emailing documents. File documents and receipts as needed. Record petty cash receipts and parking ticket information.
  • Facilities and meeting room setup – assisting with the setup and pack-down of meeting rooms, including layout adjustments, AV setup, and catering delivery for meetings and events.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good technical proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • A collaborative mindset – values teamwork and seeks input from others
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of staff
  • A willingness and capacity to learn new skills and take on new challenges

Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and are an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.
