The Opportunity

We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic Deputy Principal and Director of Secondary School to join our Senior Executive team, commencing in term 4 2024. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Principal to integrate Greek Orthodox values into daily operations and model a strong commitment to child safety and spiritual life.
  • Shape and lead the culture of the Secondary School, maintaining high levels of student engagement. This position leads pastoral care and wellbeing as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the whole School.
  • Lead the planning, monitoring, and review of curriculum implementation and student assessment to promote a culture of high expectations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by leading strategic change management processes to enhance student outcomes.
  • Support recruitment, induction, and professional development, while fostering leadership capacity within the staff.
  • Ensure ethical management, compliance with safety standards, and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.

Essential Criteria

  • Accredited with appropriate tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in education, leadership, religious education, or theology.
  • Experienced HSC teacher with a minimum of five years of leadership experience in a Secondary School.
  • Commitment to promoting Christian Orthodox values.
  • Demonstrated competency in leadership with the ability to step into the Principal role as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead a collaborative executive team.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
