About the Role
Primary responsibilities include:

• To provide specialised support to students undertaking field education components of study;


• To support students with quality, value-added education, which fosters students' ability to integrate theory to practise critically reflect, understand and respond to diverse needs and situations, and to practise creatively;


• Monitors student professional development and academic performance throughout the placement.

Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, applicants must address the selection criteria below and attach their response as a separate document in the application process.

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

• Eligible for full membership of the AASW with a minimum two years full-time post-qualifying practice experience.

Essential:

• An understanding of current and emerging trends in Social Work and training.


• Ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with colleagues from diverse cultural, religious, gender and socio-economic backgrounds.


• A keen awareness of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and communities in various contexts, and support student learning and engagement with these diverse populations


• Technological literacy and experience in developing online communication tools and previous experience in online education is desirable.


• Evidence of a capacity to contribute to effective administration.
