Finance Manager

As Finance Manager this position will proactively participate in the stewardship of the financial resources of churches of Christ NSW & ACT and ACOM, towards their present and future mission.

Your Contribution

  • Day-to-day financial operations of both churches of Christ NSW & ACT and ACOM.
  • Manage month and period end processes, including the completion of management reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Monitor financial performance and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Manage financial risks and implement effective internal controls.
  • Accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Statutory compliance including PAYG, STP, BAS, FBT and Workcover.
  • Manage fortnightly payroll.

The Essentials

  • Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial software particularly Xero, MYOB, Excel, or other finance-based applications.
  • Experience with taxation and reporting needs for a not for profit.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Hold a Kingdom culture as priority.
  • A person with 'tenacity' who can bring tasks to completion.
  • Able to integrate and hold varying priorities of both cofC and ACOM.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
