About the role

At Anglicare, we are transforming how data, digital and AI come together to serve diverse and vulnerable communities across NSW. As the Head of Enterprise Data Platform & Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in this transformation — leading the strategy, execution and scaling of Anglicare’s Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and Data Services function.

You will provide the leadership that ensures Anglicare’s data platform is secure, scalable and ready to support real-time insights, AI innovation and automation. In this senior leadership role, you’ll mentor, lead and grow your team, drive platform optimisation, and partner across the organisation to embed data as a core enabler of decision-making and care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of Anglicare’s modern data platform, ensuring it supports operational, AI and analytics innovation

• Build and mentor a high-performing Data Services team of data engineers, platform leads and BI developers

• Scale the platform to meet growing data volume and complexity, with a strong focus on automation, security, governance and performance

• Enable business units with self-service analytics and intuitive tools (e.g. Databricks, Power BI) while embedding privacy-by-design and ethical data use

• Drive the roadmap for platform evolution, vendor engagement and delivery of high-value data assets

• Work closely with Architecture, Cyber and Legal teams to ensure solid governance

• Collaborate with Analytics & AI teams and business leaders to power data-driven innovation

About You

You’re an established data leader who brings both deep technical expertise and strong strategic thinking. You know how to build scalable data infrastructure, lead dynamic teams, and influence decision-makers in large, complex environments. You have a customer mindset, seeking to build experiences and capabilities that are accessible, practical and drive meaningful impact.

Key Skills & Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in data engineering, platform management, or enterprise data architecture

• Proven track record of scaling and managing enterprise data platforms (preferably Databricks and Azure)

• Builds and leads high-performing teams across platform, engineering and BI

• Outstanding management and technical translation capabilities – able to reduce complexity while driving cross-business buy in and operational performance

• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, compliance and risk frameworks

• Deep experience driving value from data in regulated or large-scale organisations

• Excellent stakeholder engagement – able to negotiate and influence across an array of IT functions and business units

• Strong vendor management capabilities – driving relationships that generate immediate and sustainable value
