Established in 1998, Penrith Anglican College in Orchard Hills seeks to nurture and develop empowered learners with strength of character who know and follow Christ and serve others. Throughout its history, the College has established itself as a place of academic rigour and care, producing graduates who reflect the College's values of compassion, integrity, courage, humility, and perseverance.

The Head of Secondary School (Years 7-12) is a key member of the College's Executive team. This newly created position has emerged in response to the College's recent and continual growth, prompting the strategic decision to split the Deputy Principal and Head of Secondary School responsibilities to better support our expanding community of students and staff. The role requires a strategic thinker committed to Christian education who will lead the Secondary School with vision and purpose. The Head of Secondary School will be responsible for the strategic leadership, day-to-day management, and oversight of the Secondary School, ensuring an exceptional learning environment for students and a supportive working environment for staff.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Commitment to actively support and promote the Christian values and strategic vision of the College.
  • Highly developed communication skills essential for effective policy development, system management, and smooth of the Secondary School.
  • Experience and expertise in leading the day-to-day operations of a Secondary School
  • Ability to set and uphold high standards for student learning and behaviour.
  • Experience in supporting the wellbeing of staff and students.
  • Ability to foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, collaboration, and shared decision making among staff, students and parents.
  • Understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices and the regulatory requirements for secondary education.
