About the Role


Reporting to the Head of School of Education, primary responsibilities include:



  • Lecturing in specialised subject areas, with excellent management of student welfare;



  • Contributing to research and scholarship at the College;



  • Participating in course and curriculum development as coordinated by the Head of School;



  • Promotion and professional representation of the Education School and its activities.


Selection Criteria


Qualifications and Professional Standing:



  • A PhD in a relevant discipline.



  • A minimum of 3 years academic or professional or practice-based experience and expertise.


Essential:



  • Committed Christian, involved in a local congregation.



  • Proven experience in teaching, learning, scholarship and research, including curriculum development and modification.



  • A proven record of research, academic publications and professional activities.



  • An understanding of current and emerging trends, theories and approaches in education.



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and confidence in presentations to groups.



  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.



  • Demonstrated ability to work with students, staff, and administrators, including pastoral skills in supporting students.



  • Knowledge of and ability to apply equal opportunity principles and Work Health and Safety principles in the workplace.
