Covenant Christian School is seeking applications from suitably qualified marketing professionals to join our Marketing and Community Engagement team as we seek as we seek to build brand awareness of Covenant among Christian families and grow our enrolments.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

This role is to support the Marketing and Community Engagement Manager and the activity of the Marketing & Community Engagement Team by:

  • Coordinating digital marketing & communications channels, including planning and managing digital marketing on social media and other digital platforms (including on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram).
  • Enhancing our outreach to prospective Christian parents through these social media channels, ultimately encouraging them to learn more about Covenant and in visiting the school.
  • Liaising with designers, external agencies, printers and signage companies when required.
  • Coordinating media releases.
  • Equipping Covenant parents and alumni to market Covenant effectively through word-of-mouth promotion and developing strategic opportunities building connections with our local churches.
  • Tracking and reporting program/campaign success.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES IN MORE DETAIL:

DIGITAL MARKETING
Support the Marketing and Community Engagement Manager and the Marketing and Community Engagement Team by providing coordination of the digital marketing & communications channels. This shall include, but not be limited to, the following broad range of tasks:

  • Plan and manage digital marketing on social media and other digital platforms.
  • Implement strategic marketing initiatives through the Funnel CRM.
  • Creation and tracking of website pages using CRAFT CMS.
  • Provide reports on all paid and unpaid marketing channels including website, social media, Meta, Feesable, and Funnel.

ADVERTISING & PROMOTIONS
Support the Marketing and Community Engagement Manager and the Marketing and Community engagement Team to promote Covenant to prospective families, including:

  • Implement marketing campaigns using various channels as identified in the Marketing Activity Schedule.
  • Coordinating the promotion and registration aspects of marketing events targeted at new prospects.
  • Coordinate media releases to local media outlets.
  • Coordinate organic and sponsored advertising through social media channels including Facebook; LinkedIn, Instagram and others in accordance with the marketing plans and campaign briefs.
  • Liaise with designers, external agencies, printers, signage companies to progress the production of materials.
  • Provide reports on marketing campaigns and ongoing advertising & promotions activities.
  • Responsible for keeping the Marketing and Community Engagement activity schedule up to date.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Support the Marketing and Community Engagement Manager and the Marketing and Community engagement Team to equip Covenant parents and alumni to market Covenant effectively through word-of-mouth promotion:

  • Plan and manage all engagement on social media, including Covenant social media channels.
  • Develop creative and appropriate ways to help parents share the Covenant story.
  • Provide regular opportunities for parents, alumni and staff to advocate for Covenant with their friends and church community.
  • Build the reputation of Covenant as employer of choice for Christian educators particularly through LinkedIn.
  • Grow the engagement of Covenant Alumni through planned strategic communications and social channels, including LinkedIn.
  • Develop strategic opportunities to build connections with our local churches.

LOCATION

Located on 3.5 hectares in leafy Belrose in NSW, Covenant Christian School is 19 kilometres north-east of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of Northern Beaches Council.

With around 950 enrolled students across Prep to Year-12, we currently employ around 165 full-time and part-time staff, plus further casual staff, with all staff being active participants in their local Christian church.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Committed Christian of a reformed evangelical persuasion actively involved in the life of their local church, with a strong passion for Christian community.
  • Able and willing to sincerely affirm the School’s Statement of Belief.
  • Marketing, communications or advertising degree qualified or equivalent.
  • At least one year marketing, communications or advertising experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Experience using and/or administration of social media platforms.
  • Experience with paid marketing on Meta social media platforms.
  • Competent in the production of visually engaging material.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and competence in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of branding and marketing principals, particularly in the digital space.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to provide a valid Working with Children Check.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Skills and experience in photography and video production.
  • Skill or experience in editing website Content Management Systems.
  • General proficiency in learning new software and operating in a digital environment.
  • Experience working in a diverse education or not-for-profit environment.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

  • Permanent Full-time position (38 hours over 52 weeks with 4 weeks Annual Leave).
  • Commencement date: Term 4, 2024 (13 October 2024).
  • Level 5 position with terms and conditions governed by the Christian Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.
