Seeking: Music teacher – Creative music for primary and pre-school (permanent part-time)
Currambena Preschool and Primary, Lane Cove, Sydney, NSW
We are looking for a creative, energetic, and enthusiastic classroom music teacher to commence Term 1, 2025. The role would involve providing a range of musical experiences to students from age 3 - 12, covering the requirements of the NSW curriculum (performing, organising sound and listening), with the main aim being to foster an enjoyment of music and music making, having fun and experiencing the joy of music both as an individual and in groups.
This is a great role with a passionate and supportive team in a small and unique democratic independent school in Sydney’s lower north shore.
● Total hours ~ 5 hours face to face teaching (excluding prep) between 9am and 3pm, preferably Mondays.
● Suitable for emerging or experienced teachers. Support provided.
● Understanding of the Currambena approach to learning and teaching would be an advantage.
● Salary commensurate with experience.
● Please note: this position involves working with children. The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
