About the Role

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Education Professional Experience Manager and students.
  • Sourcing education placements through networking and industry visits.
  • Maintaining industry partnerships to sustain education placements.
  • Ensuring the learning activities of professional experience units are operated effectively and efficiently.
  • Participation in student allocations process, meeting with students, liaising with placement sites.
  • Facilitating preparation of document completion in the LMS for moderation and final grades.
  • Providing feedback and suggesting potential improvements to the Education Professional Experience program.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, applicants must address the selection criteria below and attach their response as a separate document in the application process.

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in Education or equivalent.
  • Experience in an early childhood or initial teacher education environment.
  • Experience in a higher education setting.

Essential:

  • Committed Christian, involved in a local congregation.
  • Administration and project management skills.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must uphold ethical integrity while performing duties of a sensitive nature including calculating student grades, handling petty cash, and maintaining confidentiality of personal details.
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Experience with a learning management system, particularly Moodle is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work appropriately with students, faculty, and administrators, independently as well as in a busy team environment.
