ABOUT US

The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.

Are you passionate about reducing food waste and supporting your local community? Join our team as a Volunteer Driver and play a vital role in rescuing fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste. Your efforts will help transform surplus food into nutritious meals for people in need.

  • Maintain clear and friendly communication with donors and community partners

Qualifications:

  • Valid C driver’s license

  • Police check

  • A passion for sustainability and helping others

  • Able to lift boxes or bags of produce (up to 25 lbs) as needed
