Are you passionate about reducing food waste and supporting your local community? Join our team as a Volunteer Driver and play a vital role in rescuing fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste. Your efforts will help transform surplus food into nutritious meals for people in need.
Commitment:
Fridays from 9am to 12pm
Compensation: Unpaid, but the impact you’ll make is priceless!
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive to designated locations to pick up fresh produce from grocery stores
- Safely transport and deliver the food to our community centre
- Work with team members to ensure efficient pickups and drop-offs
- Maintain clear and friendly communication with donors and community partners
Qualifications:
- Valid C driver’s license
- Police check
- A passion for sustainability and helping others
- Able to lift boxes or bags of produce (up to 25 lbs) as needed
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Development opportunities with this role
This role will give volunteers an opportunity to develop skills and build experience in goods transportation, logistics, customer service and teamwork.
